Ukraine submitted 97 applications within the first call for proposals for financing within the Danube Region Programme 2021-2027

290 applications from 14 countries participating in the Strategy were submitted within the first stage of this call for proposals. This year, all Ukrainian regions became eligible to participate. Therefore, 78 applicants from 11 Ukrainian regions submitted their applications. Zakarpattia region became the leader with 30 applications. 20 applications were submitted from Kyiv region, 16 from Odesa region, and 10 from Ivano-Frankivsk region. Applicants from Lviv, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Sumy regions also submitted their projects.
 
👉 The total amount of funding for this call is 91.8 million euros for 14 countries participating in the Strategy. Funding will be carried out on a revolving basis by reimbursing funds spent on activities within the framework of project implementation. Thus, the selected projects will be able to receive compensation at the expense of the Programme funds in the amount of 80%.
 
📍 Currently, the preliminary evaluation of submitted proposals is underway. After this, applications that have been submitted in compliance with all requirements will be admitted to the second stage of the call. During the next stage, which is expected in the spring 2023, pre-selected participants will be able to submit a completed Application Form (with its required Annexes) through the programme monitoring system (Jems).
