This was a topic of discussion during the EUSBSR Annual Forum that took place on 4-5 October in Riga, Latvia.
The workshop "Strengthening Cooperation with Ukraine for Sustainable Rebuilding" explored the needs for future cooperation between the Baltic Sea Region and Ukraine, focusing on environmental protection and sustainable recovery.
 
Director of the Ukrainian Institute for International Politics Nadija Afanasieva took part in the panel discussion and stressed the importance of cooperation at the community and regional level between Ukraine and the Baltic Sea Region countries, the use of EU financial instruments, cooperation in the areas of public security, bioeconomy, education and skills, and the environment.
 
🤝 Speakers also outlined the current state of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, in particular in the areas of the Ukrainian ecosystem and economy, distance and non-formal education, and maritime transport.
