On September 15-16, a thematic conference "Education, retraining and inclusion: transformation during the crisis" was held within the framework of the Ukrainian Presidency in the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

👉 The conference was held in a hybrid format: online and on site at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

✅ During panel discussions, the participants discussed the issues of inclusion in the field of education and the labor market, as well as considered the main problems of the transformation of professional education during the war

"Currently, such measures are extremely necessary. After all, the topics we are discussing are extremely important for our country in the conditions of war. The conference is devoted to transformational processes in the spheres of the labor market, education and inclusion, which arose as a result of crisis processes in the world. It is this priority that Ukraine identified for the EUSDR Presidency, as the problems that accumulated over many years became most visible during global economic crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's war against Ukraine," noted Ihor Korkhovy, National Coordinator of Ukraine in the EUSDR.

💻 Topics of inclusion and digital transformation were also discussed. Particularly, Oleksiy Shkuratov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, shared examples of organizing an inclusive educational environment in Ukraine, as well as the experience of implementing digital tools in the educational process. Hanna Prorok, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine shared the steps taken by the Ministry of Social Policy to ensure inclusion in the labor market.

International partners also joined with the welcome speech: Johan Magnusson (European Commission) and Benjamin Bobbe (Hanns Seidel Foundation).

The representatives of the departments of education and science of Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, and Odesa Oblasts shared the experience of their regions participating in the EUSDR.
